"Effortlessly sophisticated"

Admit it, most of us girls would prefer three amazing tops in a flee market rather than getting one from a pricey brand. We like to mix and match and never want to repeat our outfits until we are bound to. And so to have more options in our wardrobes, we raid the flee market/use other alternatives instaed of burning our pockets on branded stuff. In short, we want to look equally 'sophisticated' in every outfit we adorn, be it be from a high end brand or a street market. But the question is how? In this post I have tried to give some tips on "How to look effortlessly sophisticated always". Read on..

1) TAILORED

Most of us are lazy or do not usually get our clothes tailored except maybe our saree blouses or sometimes a suit. But besides Indian attires, we should totally get our westerns tailored too. Nothing fits better than a well fitted trouser which is a must have if you work in a corporate office. Whats more? Get the dress you picked from the flee market tucked and nipped from the tailor to your perfect size to give it a more sophisticated look.

2) PASTELS Though most of us girls already love Pastels, we hardly put together a complete pastel/light colour look. It makes us look very 'put together', soft yet sorted. And its very pleasing to the eye ofcourse! Pair a 'tan' clutch/sling bag or darker shades of the colour you are wearing and there you go.

3) AVIOD TOO MUCH OF PRINTS Yes, we all do love prints but sometimes they take away the sophisticated look. Avoiding prints all over the body of the outfit or bold large prints is the key. If at all there are prints in your clothes, keep it minimal by pairing them with solids or accessorising right with neutral colours. Besides, prints change from season to season unless its the classic "polka dots" or 'checks'. So it's always a suggestion to think well before investing on a printed outfit.

4) TUCK YOUR SHIRT IN Yes, a simple trick like this would make you look much more classy and sophisticated. This clean look is a must even if 'not' tucking the shirt makes you comfortable.

Pair it with a well fitted trouser/skirt and some pumps, you are ready to go!

5) MATCHING BAGS & FOOT WEAR Yes, its always been a classic advice to match your accessories (bags, belt etc) with your foot wear. A brown belt and a pair of brown heels compliments much more than putting down two different colours. Besides, less the colours in the outfit, cleaner the look!

6) KEEP YOUR BAGS POLISHED

When talking about accessories, only getting the colour right isn't the only trick. Maintaing them also plays a major role. Keep your bags polished always to get that sophisticated look.

7) BALANCE YOUR ACCESSORIES A well balance look not only includes your outfit, but also your accessories. So if you are wearing a scarf, do not wear a neck piece. Or if you are wearing a elaborate neckpiece, skip your earings.

The thing about statement accessories is to keep the focus on it high. Wear a ear cuff with hair tied in a bun and some dark lipstick, you will nail it!

8) INVEST ON CLASSICS Yes, being a Fashion blogger myself, I admit I have a keen eye on trends and I also update you guys about the same, but one must never forget the classics. I would always opt to spend more on classics then on trends which change every season. Be it be a black LBD, a beige trenchcoat, denims, leather jacket etc. - they exhale "sophistication' effortlessly.

9) DRESS IN TONAL COLOURS

Tonal colours- all back or all white gives you the obvious "classy" look. It is the ultimate form of sophistication.

Just keep in mind that your whites are bright and blacks are of the same shade.

10) POLISHED HAIR AND MAKE UP

Last but not the least, nothing beats a well maintained hair style and the perfect make up on your face. So buckle up girls- take care of your hair and skin for they will always prove to be your ultimate finishing touches to sophistication.

Hope I could give you guys some useful tips to rock that 'sophisticated' look! Do try some of these and let me know how you felt about your look.
