Summer is at its peak and this trend surely reminds you of holidays even if you are not having one! The fresh, lively, appealing to the eye trend of the “PALM TREE PRINT”.

A little bit of information never hurt anyone. So let’s begin!

  • The ‘Palm tree print’ originated from TROPICAL prints; so the look does not necessarily have to be one with palm trees all over it- it is basically the ‘beach’ look that is on print.

  • It has been a part of the design industry for decades.

  • It was declared as a trend by fashion media, including Harper’s Bazaar and Refinery 29.

  • The 2014 Resort Collections depicted a modern interpretation of the classic palm print.

  • For “Spring-Summer’15”, the palm print phenomena was portrayed by brands like Band of Outsiders and Nicole Miller.

  • This trend is right now adorned by celebrities and the likes, so it might take a little time to trickle down and get commercialized.

  • Brands like JC Penny, Forever21, Asos.com, Topshop, Zara and Mango have products in palm prints.

  • If you aren’t ‘feeling’ sure or bold enough to wear a palm print, you can also flaunt it without wearing- apart from garments, palm prints are popular in bags, hair accessories, scarfs, necklaces and even home décor!

Still not convinced you can carry it? Don't worry. Here are some tips that might help you!

1) Pair a 'tropical' or 'palm print' trouser/skirt with a white top or a solid colour top- it would work 100% and tone down the extra attention the print brings with it. You can also flaunt a black/solid coloured jacket or blazer with it.

2)Include this print in your outfit by using palm printed accessories.

PERSONAL TIP: This trend definitely would fade after some years, if not immediately. It is thus a FAD and not FASHION. So try it only if you really want it and you are confident enough to carry it. For others, you might want to stick to palm print accessories for your best.
